Feeling Safe

As we evolve we learn more and more about the mystery and magic of the human body. There is a great deal of current research on the human nervous system. It’s fascinating and if you are intrigued Google Polyvegal Theory.

 

But what I find the most compelling is this one simple fact. More than anything else the human body needs to feel safe in order to function at optimal health and wellness. This goes to our core to the energy of Muladahara or the Root Chakra. This is the basic need, and vital for continued growth, development and function.

 

Witness what collectively occurs when the human animal perceives a threat, does not feel safe. Like a cyclone of energy fear amps up. Word spreads like wildfire, panic begins to set in, hysteria, and before you know it the majority of the population is experiencing Sympathetic nervous system overdrive.

 

When this happens we must find a way to anchor in trust and love. The power of our connection to soul and Source can be the gift we need to come back to center. Staying in the present moment and not projecting into the future is vital. We do not know what the future will bring. We cannot control it. We can control our reaction and our compulsion to feed the flames of fear.

 

Breath, practice, ritual, mantra, prayer, meditation all tools to reconnect to the infinite and unafraid nature of your soul. Find the still point within, project that stillness without. Feel the Light of Divine Source. Know and trust this power. Send healing light and love from your heart into the collective. Remember we share this essence with all souls and we are never alone.

 

Stand outside of the fear and channel your inner love and trust to others. Become a soothing presence rather than a spark of ignition. Find a way to feel safe. Create and seek out safe and healing spaces. Rest in these places and breathe in the moment. Trust.

 

There always has been much to be feared, there always will be. Our evolution depends on how we react and assimilate to the ever changing world. Practice feeling safe, even if you don’t feel that way. Allow the feeling and surrender it to your personal relationship with the Divine Light.
